The New York Geographic Alliance, the Rochester Area Council for the Social  Studies and the Chemistry/ Geosciences Department of Monroe Community College are proud to sponsor GeoFest-RACSS 2011 – Celebrating Our Communities.
This all-day workshop is open to all teachers, pre-teachers, college instructors, and anyone else who loves geography. There will be three workshop
sessions on a wide variety of topics appropriate for all grade levels (K-University).
After the workshops, all participants are invited to join us for a tour around Rochester focusing on communities. Stops will include the High Falls, the
Genesee Aqueduct, and a Geography Walk in the South Wedge neighborhood. Lunch will be provided.
The cost for advanced registrations is $10 for the morning workshops and $25 for the workshops and the cruise. Pre-teachers get a $5 discount! For those
registering at the door, the cost is $15 for the workshops and $30 for the workshop/field trip combination. Register early to ensure your seat on the Community Tour Bus.
